MARVEL CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS: VULTURE

Image
Spidey goes up against a classic super villain in the Battlerealm! Soaring above Battlerealm the Vulture picks his targets with a bird of prey’s ruthless precision, and with all that alien tech at his disposal, takes them out with brutal efficiency. Coming off the success of “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, Vulture’s found a place to roost in “Marvel Contest of Champions” and Kabam Art Director Gabriel Frizzera and Character Designer Simon Cameron chatted with us about all his in-game goodies. Marvel.com:   You know at first I was wondering what the Collector would want with a guy in a bird suit, but then I remembered all the people in spider suits he’s wrangled in the past. He’s building a regular menagerie isn’t he? Gabriel Frizzera:  The Collector wants to catch them all! His favorite Champion is Spider-Man, and he wouldn’t miss on having the web-head’s awesome gallery of rogues. A complete set is much more valuable, and that includes the Vulture and his crazy mechanical wings. But he’s ju

Thor: Ragnarok Director Says That There’s Going To Be A Lot Of Deleted Scenes

Image
It looks like Thor: Ragnarok’s going to have quite a number of deleted scenes because Marvel director Taika Waititi’s got too many funny scenes to fit in Marvel Studios' highly anticipated superhero space adventure. The first few Thor: Ragnarok previews that Marvel’s been rolling out has been promising a whole lot of fun for Marvel fans, but with Waititikeeping the film to a hundred minutes, it seems like some of the movie’s funny scenes aren’t going to make the final cut. Speaking in an interview with Collider, Waititi assured fans that though Thor: Ragnarok is much shorter than the usual 2 hour Marvel movie, all of the deletd scenes are going to make it into the film’s home release. "There will be a lot of deleted scenes. Great scenes. Funny, funny moments that—you can’t have it all. As I say you gotta kill those puppies, so we had to take some of those things out. Those scenes will exist so people will be able to see them.” While a lot of fans feel disappointed that Thor: R

Avengers: Infinity War Actually Focuses On The MCU’s ‘Important’ Characters

Image
Sure Avengers: Infinity War might be gathering more than 60 Marvel heroes to help battle against Josh Brolin’s Mad Titan Thanos, but according to one of the two Russo brothers directing the movie, the film’s only going to focus on the “more important characters” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Joe Russo spoke with Screen Rant after the Marvel Studios panel at the 2017 San Diego Comic Con last weekend and the director let out a bit of info about the highly anticipated Marvel mash-up movie. According to Joe, though he and his brother might have a horde of heroes at their disposal, it seems like the team’s giving most of the spotlight to the usual suspects. “You know, the story really centers who you would expect it to center around, so our more important characters. This is a culmination film ten years in the making and we are pulling the main story threads from all of the different franchises into one unifying narrative. So any of the important characters are going to be in this film

A New Look At Anthony Hopkins On The Set Of Thor: Ragnarok

Image
Earlier leaks from the set of Thor: Ragnarokhad us looking at a “Homeless” Odin who looks to have lost his memory and is wandering around Earth. Director Taika Waititi has just shared a new photo of Hopkins on set, and it has him fooling around with Hemsworth and Waititi himself. It’s curious is this is actually Anthony Hopkins in costume or just the actor looking normal on set because the first images that leaked of Hopkins didn’t have him sporting a different-looking beard (no moustache). It’s possible that if he gets all his powers back, his beard could come back in full, but there is also the possibility that the first leaked images of Hopkins didn’t have his make-up completed and the beard was applied afterwards. By the end of Thor: The Dark World, the location of Odin was basically a mystery because it was revealed that it was Loki masquerading as Odin in the end. Thanks toDoctor Strange, however, we do know that Thor is on a mission to get Odin back to Asgard, and it’s possible

Avengers Infinity War Will Explore The Romance Between Vision And Scarlet Witch

Image
Vision and the Scarlet Witch have famously been a couple in the comics, and we’ve been getting some hints at a romance since Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War. The two will be returning for Avengers: Infinity War, and it looks like a full-blown romance is going to be explored this time around. In an interview with We Got This Covered, Scarlet Witch actress Elizabeth Olsen explains: "In any other world I would say, ‘I don’t know,’…but because there are paparazzi photos that kind of spoil things for fans, I think it’s safe to say that we now get to explore that part of the comic book. We get to introduce and really explore their relationship. It creates a really exciting arc for me and I’m so lucky I get to work with Bettany all the time now." With Thanos needing the Mind Stone for his gauntlet, a lot of fans are pretty sure that we’re going to see Vision die in Infinity War. I think it would be too early to actually have Vision die in the MCU, but then again, there’

"Black Panther movie sucks"

Image
*The meme is meant to grab your attention. Read the post before any conclusion.* So, a friend of mine and I hade an argument last night about the trailer of the upcoming Black Panther movie. Now, I being a Black Panther fan for quite a long time, got a bit riled up at his opinions about the trailer. Below are some of the arguments he had. *The scene at the Warrior Falls where the different tribes in Wakanda come to cheer with representing warriors during the battle for Black Panther mantle is not african because there is no rocky waterfall with people gathering around wearing traditional African outfits and cheering. F *The scene where Queen Ramonda (T'Challa's stepmother), Nakia and deputy commander Everett Ross being escorted througt a snowscape which seems to be Wakanda's Necropolis (also known as City of the Dead) from comics is bullshit because there is no snow in Africa. *Overrall, Wakanda does not look like any existing African country (which of course, technicall

Batman Officially Considered A Metahuman

Image
The Dark Knight has always been proof of what the human body can achieve when honed and trained with discipline and determination, but it seems he isn't considered completely human any longer. Spoilers incoming for  Suicide Squad #22 , so if you haven't read it yet you've been warned. Batman has long been the non-superpowered member of the Justice League, though to be fair it hasn't exactly held him back. While he has yet to manifest any actual powers, according to Amanda Waller the Dark Knight is not a normal human. Towards the end of this week's issue, she instructs the remnants of her team (Digger Harkness notwithstanding, long story) to retrieve two metahumans, which include Killer Frost and...Batman. Yep,  Batman  is now considered a metahuman by the federal government in DC proper. Now, this isn't the first time he's been categorized as such, but it is the most recent. Batman and Green Arrow were considered metahumans by the slimmest of margins under C

5 BRUTAL DEATHS OF POWERFUL MUTANTS FROM X-MEN

Image
X-Men created by Stan Lee is one of the greatest ever comics. The heroes can often be seen fighting off bad guys and saving lives, but there are times when these guys have to make the ultimate sacrifice and die, saving others in the process. Here is a list of some such sacrifices made by the X-Men:  Nightcrawler Sacrifices Himself In the arc, Messiah Complex, the main purpose is to save Hope, who after Wanda is the only one who can use her powers to convert all mutants into regular beings. Hope is protected by Cable, not just him but Rogue and Kurt (Nightcrawler) too are there for her. When she is going to be attacked by Bastion, Kurt teleports and re-materializes around his arm, sacrificing himself to save her. Twisted Cyclops Kills Professor X Professor X’s death was undoubtedly one of the most heart-wrenching deaths in the comics as he was the father figure to a number of mutants, and to see him killed by one of his most trusted and loved students was true to take a lot for the fan

Infinity War: A new Captain America will come in power (The Winter Solder??)

Image
Chris Evans has expressed for some time that he’s interested in moving on from the role of Steve Rogers. But this doesn’t mean that Cap’s shield will go unused. As with many comic book heroes, different people have held the title of Captain America throughout time. One of them? None other than Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier. What’s more, a credible source has spoken on this. Artist Steve McNiven, who worked on theCivil War comic book, speculated that perhaps Barnes would take over the role, as he did in print. McNiven also expressed his own desire to see Sam Wilson (currently Falcon, played by Anthony Mackie) fill the Cap’s shoes, should he die in Infinity War.

Infinity War: A major hero will die. Captain or Iron Man?

Image
In a battle as big as this one, it’s inevitable that some of our favorite heroes will succumb to Thanos’ wrath. It’s just a matter of who. Sadly, this may come down more to contracts and the desires of the actors rather than anything else. In addition to Evans, Robert Downey Jr. has said that he’s looking forward to taking off the Iron Man suit for good. As for who else may kick the bucket? That’s anyone’s guess, as the Infinity Gauntlet comic arcsees Thanos killing almost everyone in his path. Yikes.

Will Black Widow have a solo movie?

Image
Let’s face it: It’s time for this to happen. Marvel Studios has taken its sweet time building up to its first female-led superhero film, and whileCaptain Marvel is already set to take that title, fans are still hoping that Natasha Romanoff gets her moment in the spotlight. With all the unexplored backstory the character brings, there are many intriguing directions a Black Widow film could go. Moreover, Scarlett Johansson is one of the most bankable actresses working today, having led the 2014 action film Lucy to $463 million worldwide. Throw in Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye or an Avenger or two to give Black Widow someone to play off of, and Marvel will have a guaranteed moneymaker on its hands. Please?

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 is in his way

Image
So far, this film is the only one confirmed to be in the cards for Phase Four. Considering the success of the first film and the anticipation regarding next year’s sequel, no one should be surprised to see that Marvel Studios is aiming to develop a trilogy of films around Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot. After all, the past has shown that Marvel is committed to making each of its individual series into trilogies before turning to other characters (well, except for The Incredible Hulk). For that reason, expect sequels to Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and likely a third Ant-Man film, to join the final installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy.

How Will Thor: Ragnarok Feed Into Avengers: Infinity War

Image
If there is one thing Marvel fans like, it is fan-theories. The fandom is filled with netizens who cook up their own MCU conspiracy theories, and  Avengers: Infinity War  has got sleuths coming out of the woodworks. Following San Diego Comic Con, fans are trying to suss out how  Thor: Ragnarok  will set up the third  Avengers film, and an answer may have already been found. This past week,  Thor: Ragnarok  made a big entrance into San Diego Comic Con as it debuted a new trailer, and the footage did not come alone. A clip of  Avengers: Infinity War  also previewed exclusively at the event before it leaked online, and the trailers’ combined footage have helped fans craft an interesting theory about how the movies are connected. After all, the cast of  Thor: Ragnarok  has said the film will help launch  Avengers: Infinity War . Taika Waititi, the film’s director, admitted that the end of  Thor ’s third film will set up how the God of Thunder comes across the Guardians of the Galaxy by th

Is Marvel Hiding Venom In Avengers: Infinity War?

Image
Are Marvel Studios and Sony Picture really not on the same page when it comes to where their superhero movie universes interact or are they covering up what could be the biggest spoiler in superhero movie history? By now, most fans know that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures came to an agreement that sees both studios sharing custody of Marvel Comics’ Spider-Man character. While Sony Pictures would technically remain in control of Spider-Man’s film rights and produce Spider-Man movies, Marvel Studios would maintain creative control, clearing the way for Spider-Man to interact with Iron Man, Captain America, and the rest of the Avengers. That sounds simple, but there’s more to it when you consider that Spider-Man doesn’t exist as a character in a vacuum. He has his own set of supporting characters and villains that are included with the film rights, and there have been some surprising developments in how those characters are being handled. Venom Fans know that Spider-Man will appear in
