The Russos Comment on the New Infinity War Trailer
Even if the first teaser for Avengers: Infinity War has already been screened for the select audiences at this year’s D23 Expo and San Diego Comic Con, Disney and Marvel haven’t released any footage for the larger audiences. So those that weren’t present at these conventions missed the opportunity to see how powerful Thanos really is.
Of course, we’ve all read the descriptions of the footage, which have flooded the internet almost as soon as it was screened. But this cannot be compared with actually seeing it.
And so we are still hoping for the same teaser to be released online. When will that happen? Well, the principal photography forAvengers: Infinity War finished this past summer. And we believed that the studio will follow the same formula it did with previous ensemble flicks, in the sense that a first trailer will be seen in October.
However, we are already in November and the clip is still nowhere to be seen. There were rumors saying that Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok will have it attached, but those rumors proved to be false. Now new rumors say that the teaser will be attached to the final episode ofInhumans, to boost the show’s ratings (and Inhumans really needs this). Other rumors say thatAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D. new season will bring it, at the beginning of December.
Lastly, there is hope that the footage will be online by the timeStar Wars: The Last Jedi is released.
So what do the Russos have to say about this long wait? Well, we do know that a new trailer for the movie is being cut at the moment, aimed at larger audiences than the ones attending the aforementioned conventions. And, apparently, the directors don’t want to speed things up unnecessarily.
So their tease compares this footage with a good wine – fans just have to wait for it to mature:

Basically, this could be seen as trolling. However, this Orson Welles add does make us believe that we won’t have to wait much longer until the trailer drops.
Avengers: Infinity War will be released on the 4th of May 2018.
