Major spoilers for Thor: Ragnarok – Thor: Ragnarok may be the end of the Thor trilogy, but it’s also one of the final films before the mega-franchise MCU reaches its epic culmination with Avengers: Infinity War– and you can bet Taika Waititi’s film sets that up with a few carefully placed clues. For the most part, Ragnarok is focused on being its own thing: an all-out comedy in line with director Waititi’s previous efforts (What We Do In The Shadows and Hunt for the Wilderpeople are essential pre-viewing) as much as it is the story of Asgard’s destruction (although it is that too). But just because it feels like a focused experience – a single episode of a Saturday morning cartoon – doesn’t mean there’s nothing playing into the bigger season arc. Marvel Studios is currently doing a massive photoshoot for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Mark Ruffalo is giving everyone a behind-the-scenes look. The MCU is rapidly approaching its ten year anniversary; while Marvel Studios has been around a little bit longer, next May as they release Avengers: Infinity War it will be ten years since they officially started the entire thing with Iron Man.  Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has continued to say that they’ll celebrate in some fashion, but has yet to detail how exactly it will happen – other than a leaked look at their special logo. Infinity War will bring together almost every single MCU character as Thanos (Josh Brolin) finally does it himself and takes on the Avengers with the full power of the Infinity Gauntlet at his disposal.  There will surely be many ways Marvel will celebrate, and a huge photo featuring everyone involved may just be one of those.

Marvel Studios is currently busy peddling the release of Thor: Ragnarok, but a lot of fans are waiting for an update on one of the biggest films of 2018—Avengers: Infinity War. A lot of people were hoping that we’d get a trailer this weekend, but it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer before we get our first look. A lot of Marvel fans were already treated to a trailer back during D23 and SDCC, but Marvel seems to be preparing something else entirely, so that could explain as to why this upcoming trailer isn’t ready yet. Best bet is it comes around the same time as Thor: Ragnarok. A lot of fans are starting to get impatient when it comes to the release of the first trailer, but for now all we can do about it is rant online. Like so: Personally, I think we have a lot of other movies to look forward to, and I don’t really have a problem with Marvel Studios taking its time with Infinity War. Besides ThorBlack Panther to look forward to.
