Another Hero Has Been Confirmed For Avengers 4

As evidenced by the steady stream of set photos, Atlanta is still playing host to Avengers 4, Marvel’s unnamed sequel currently on course for a release in 2019.

Nipping at the heels of Infinity War, directors Joe and Anthony Russo have now switched gears to orchestrate the second, conclusive chapter in their two-part epic, which presumably pits Earth’s Mightiest Heroes against Thanos for the final time in May of 2019.

Most of the MCU characters are expected to feature in some shape or form, but with Infinity War promising to bring about the death of a hero or two, fans have been furiously speculating as to who’s going to make it out alive and who won’t. Already, we can tell you that the likes of Black Widow, Hawkeye, Iron Man, Cap, Bucky and Hulk will all live to see another day and now, one more has been confirmed for Avengers 4: Mantis.

Actress Pom Klementieff took to Facebook earlier this week to reveal the news, teasing that she was back in the makeup trailer with the photo below, which came accompanied with this caption: #pomantis is back in the makeup trailer! #AvengersInfinityWar

While Klementieff does use the hashtag #AvengersInfinityWar here, it’s doubtful that it’s that film she’s working on, as it’s already wrapped production. True, she could be doing reshoots, but it’s much more likely that the pic we have here was taken from the set of Avenges 4. Or at least, that’s the general consensus on the web.

Soon after Infinity War lights up theaters on May 4th, 2018, Joe and Anthony Russo will unleash Avengers 4 upon the world in May of 2019. As mentioned above, filming is already underway on the streets of Atlanta, which may go some ways to explaining why Sony’s Venom spinoff is yet to enter production.
