This is How The Guardians of the Galaxy Meet The Avengers

Image
Marvel has finally revealed just how The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy will meet in next year’s Avengers: Infinity War. And to call Infinity War one of the most ambitious films in the history of cinema, would be an understatement. After spending time creating and establishing the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the past 9 years, Marvel Studios is finally going to be bringing together all of their respective franchises and characters together on the big screen, most of whom may be crossing paths for the first time. But perhaps there’s no meeting that fans are more looking forward to than the eventual team-up between the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. With very little having been released or made officially known about Avengers: Infinity Warup until this point as well, fans have gone into this year’s D23 Expo hoping for some new details or announcements from Infinity War to be made during Marvel’s highly-anticipated film present...

Why Does Deadpool Kill the Marvel Universe Again?

Image
In 2012, Deadpoolkilled the Marvel Universe in a brutal fashion. No one in the comic book world was safe, not Captain America, not Thor, not even the House of Ideas’ own staffers. Naturally, the guilty pleasure of watching everyone’s favorite superheroes die ‒ while knowing they’re perfectly fine in normal continuity ‒ is always appealing. As a result, the one-shot turned into theDeadpool Killogy, where, well, Wade Wilson takes out a heck of a lot of people, including himself, many times over. Since one good turn deserves another, last April, Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso tweeted out a warning to all Marvel superheroes: Deadpool is on the warpath again. For those closest to the Merc with a Mouth, the end is nigh, as his first targets are the Avengers Unity Squad. But no one in Marvel’s metahuman stable is safe, as Wade sets off on his latest rampage of hero homicide. But what turned him against his compatriots this time? BACK FOR ANOTHER ROUND Over the years, Deadpool worked ve...

What The Amazing Spider-Man 3 Was Going To Be About

Image
Marc Webb's two Amazing Spider-Man movies are always going to feel like unfinished business. When last we left his wall-crawler (played by Andrew Garfield), he was stepping past his grief at the loss of his true love and preparing to battle The Rhino (Paul Giamatti). But the seeds were being laid for a Sinister Six movie, which would team up a gaggle of great Spidey villains, and Webb now admits that the Six -- as well as a familiar Goblin -- would have filled the screen in his Amazing Spider-Man 3 . The director confirms: Yeah, we were talking about the Sinister Six. They were going to make a Sinister Six movie before we did the third one. But I wanted... Chris Cooper was going to come back and play the Goblin. We were going to freeze his head, and then he was going to be brought back to life. And then there was that character called The Gentleman. We had some notions about how to do it, but I think maybe we were thinking too far ahead when we started building in those things. Bu...

Why Marvel Won't Let Tom Holland Read The Avengers: Infinity War Script?

Image
The Spider-Man: Homecoming star has caused a lot of grief for the Marvel marketing machine and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, who keep a famously tight lid on plot secrets and details to build up anticipation for their growing slate of movies. It’s gotten so bad that Marvel is not allowing Holland near the Avengers: Infinity Warscript for fear of him ruining their 10 years of work and 16 films building up to the climactic crossover movie. A day after Holland accidentally spoiled Marvel’s plans to bring back the Marvel One-Shots, he revealed to the Toronto Sun that he has no clue as to the plot in Avengers: Infinity War. Because Marvel won’t show him the entire script. “I don’t know anything about it or what it’s about. I know who the villain is, but that’s it. They don’t let me read anything because I’m so bad at keeping secrets.” To be fair, it’s not unusual for actors in big blockbusters to only be given the pages that concern their characters...

10 brilliantly weird Marvel fan theories that will shake up your cinematic universe

Image
Is Loki the villain behind all the Marvel baddies? Could Groot be a god? ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW Is the Red Skull still alive? Could Stan Lee be one of the extraterrestrials known as The Watchers? Is Groot an immortal deity? Probably not. But that hasn’t stopped Marvel fan theorists speculating potential plot twists in The Avengers: Infinity War and beyond. Sure, a lot of these suggestions give logic a Hulk-like beating – the ‘Captain America’s Peggy Carter is Tony Stark’s actual mother’ theory being one offender here. But there are also many speculations, based on comic book lore and sound reasoning, that may unlock the secrets of MCU films to come.  For example, could Captain America die in his next outing with the Avengers? Or could the reality stone be used to recast established characters such as Iron Man? Interesting questions that might not lead to a solid answer, but will still get your noggin whirring nonetheless.  Don't believe us? Have a look at 10 of these theori...

An innocent lunch photo has led to a new theory about Iron Man in Avengers: Infinity War

Image
When Robert Downey Jr., arguably Marvel Studios’ leading actor, tweeted an innocuous photo of him and a few friends hanging out and eating lunch on the set ofAvengers: Infinity War, he probably didn’t expect it to lead to a new, big theory. But this is the internet, and people like to theorize. In the photo, seen below, Downey Jr. can be seen wearing a shirt with a round hole in the middle. It didn’t take long for people to notice it and put two and two together: It’s the exact shape of an arc reactor, the electromagnet Tony Stark surgically embedded in his chest to keep him alive. The vibrant blue piece of technology, which also sits at the heart of the Iron Man costume, defined the superhero’s look ... until the end of Iron Man 3, when Stark figured out a way to safely remove the shrapnel that had been embedded in his chest since an explosion in the first movie. Stark went through Avengers: and Captain America: Civil War without the arc reactor, making it all ...

New Avengers: Infinity War Photo Shows Spider-Man and Doctor Strange's Levitating Cape (PHOTO)

Image
A new photo from the set of Avengers: Infinity War has surfaced online, and it shows Spidey talking to Doctor Strange's levitating cape in the middle of New York City. This appears to confirm that the two Marvel superheroes living in New York will eventually work together. Since there's only a small crew shown in these photos, it's probably just a minor shoot to get some reference shots for Marvel Studios' CGI artists to use in post-production. It would be exciting to see Doctor Strange and Spider-Man team up together in a scene. Co-director Joe Russo previously said: Judging by the small crew shown in these photos, this was probably just a small shoot to get some reference shots for Marvel Studio’s CGI artists to use in post-production. Hopefully, the next Spider-Man film will also feature Doctor Strange. It would be cool to see how these characters will interact with each other.
